People-Centered Health Care
Health systems that are people-centered attend to our physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. They also consider the “upstream” factors that constrain health-related choices. We have supported primary care and mental health integration efforts in multiple states and conducted federally-compliant community health needs assessments for hospitals and clinics throughout California.

Housing AND ECONOMIC sTABILITY
Housing instability and homelessness are consequences of deeper issues ranging from economic insecurity to domestic violence to racism. We partner with diverse stakeholders to identify solutions to prevent and disrupt these cycles. Through our Research and Training Institute, we are building curricula to enable more organizations to offer peer support to clients at critical turning points.

Community Safety and Violence Prevention
Interpersonal violence is a key public health issue that demands immediate attention. We believe that public safety systems should be survivor-centered and community-driven. We partner with organizations to explore drivers of intimate partner violence and human trafficking and to support collective action. We practice compassionate facilitation and collective leadership to uplift voices of survivors.

Race and Gender EQUITY
People have a human right to live in dignity and freedom, regardless of their race, gender, or sexual orientation. Collective action or silence will make the difference between a climate of discrimination and violence and one of inclusion and safety. We work with partners to generate knowledge and understanding of racial and gender inequities in our communities and to support cross-sector collaboration to achieve change.
